Scope
Brief Channels Owner Uploader (the “Application”) is a private desktop tool operated by the owner for the owner’s own YouTube Brand channels. The Application uses YouTube API Services and is not offered to third-party users. Use of YouTube remains subject to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google’s data practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Information accessed and used
With the owner’s OAuth consent, the Application accesses:
- the authenticated YouTube channel ID, display name, and handle;
- local video files and metadata expressly selected for upload;
- created video IDs, processing and privacy status, category, language, audience, and synthetic-media declarations; and
- OAuth access and refresh tokens required for authorized requests.
The data is used only to confirm the target channel, upload owner-approved videos, verify processing and metadata, and delete videos when requested or when an automated upload test must be cleaned up.
Storage and sharing
Tokens and operational records are stored only on the owner-controlled local computer. Selected media, metadata, and authorized requests are sent to Google and YouTube only as needed to provide the Application’s functions. The Application does not collect Google passwords or verification codes, sell YouTube API Data, share it with advertisers or unrelated third parties, serve advertising, or use tracking cookies.
Retention and deletion
Authorization tokens are retained only while needed for active, consented use. Other authorized API Data is deleted or refreshed within the periods required by the YouTube API Services Developer Policies. Local data deletion requests are completed as soon as possible and within seven calendar days.
Deleting local data does not delete content stored by YouTube. YouTube content can be deleted through YouTube Studio or the Application’s expressly authorized delete function.
Revoking access
The owner may revoke access at any time in Google Account permissions or delete the relevant local token file. Affected locally stored authorized data will then be removed within the applicable policy period.
Security
The Application uses Google’s OAuth and API client libraries over encrypted transport. Local token files use restrictive permissions and are excluded from logs and distributable archives. Exact channel checks prevent use of a token with the wrong Brand channel.
